Director and co-creator of Polish cinematic hits, incl. Pół-serio, which was awarded a special Jury award and the award for best comedy film at the Golden Lions festival (2000), as well as Lejdis 2008 and Ciało 2003, which won a Golden Duck award in both best Polish film and best comedy category. His short film Odludek, created as part of the EU&me campaign, recently received a Silver Dolphin at the Cannes festival.
In recent years, he has mastered the creation of films and advertising spots that amuse, move and surprise viewers.
His vast experience in guiding actors allows him to build multi-dimensional, realistic characters, even in small projects.
He’s had the pleasure of working with world-famous actors, such as Danny DeVito or Gerard Depardieu, on several occasions. On the sets of films and commercials, he has worked with a multitude of Polish film and theater actors, from Daniel Olbrychski, Andrzej Grabowski, Jan Englert, Krzysztof Kowalewski and Bogusław Linda, through Borys Szyc, Tomasz Karolak, Marcin Dorociński, Tomasz Kot, Danuta Stenka, Robert Więckiewicz, Wojciech Mecwaldowski, and many many others, the list is evergrowing.
Privately, Tomek is an occasional tenor saxophonist and the owner of a staford – Helen.
